ATLANTA and SAN DIEGO, Sept. 28, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Manhattan Associates, Inc. (NASDAQ:MANH) will present key warehouse mobility insights and demonstrate its newest mobile capabilities at the annual Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP) global conference September 27-30 in San Diego, Calif.

“Mobile Distribution Management: A New Way to Monitor People and Work,” presented by Manhattan Associates Senior Director Peter Schnorbach, will take place Monday, September 28 at 2 p.m. in room 15A at the San Diego Convention Center.

Mobile Distribution Management is the first application that allows warehouse managers the power to ditch the desk. By unifying labor, activities, waves and tasks on a single mobile device, warehouse managers and supervisors obtain real-time access to the status of tasks and to employee performance without being confined to their offices. This capability can lead to next-generation productivity gains for both supervisors and employees and can increase warehouse throughput.

Additionally, 60 percent of survey respondents said engaging with associates face-to-face is a top benefit of mobile applications, followed by work monitoring (42 percent) and real-time data access (33 percent).
